Email Fraud - Beware of 419 Fraud E-mail

Email Fraud is no further news. We regularly, recognize of champion frauds committed on the Internet being the use of fraudulent mails. 419 fraud is a code name for an Email Fraud originating from Nigeria.

Take note, do not be deceived 419 fraud is a code name for an email fraud that promises contracts involving large sums of money. It is not peculiar to Nigeria alone but mostly originates from Nigeria.

WHY ARE PEOPLE FALLING VICTIMS TO 419 FRAUD

The 419 fraudster, uses social engineering neglected by most information security consultants to gradually convince the unsuspecting victim that the fictitious contract dangled before the victim is legitimate.

People are falling victims everyday why?

TIPS ON HOW NOT TO BE A VICTIM OF 419 MAIL (EMAIL FRAUD)

  • Do not induce a mail you didn't solicit or hunt for for.
  • Any mail requesting for a definite quota of direction or gifts before a care is awarded do not reply, do not reply such mail.
  • If at all you are buying it in the alertness you never solicited for or asked for, please tetchy give blessing with security agencies located in your country. Make sure you present a copy of the mail when reporting.
  • Always let your spouse or intimate cognize about particle mail requesting for money or gift before business is transacted.
